Is it possible to merge two households and have the home look exactly the same?
YES! It’s all about creating and transforming unique spaces!
Especially when merging two households you will often find you no longer have a need for 2, 3, or 6 of everything. Together, we will determine what is essential for a functional home and donate or sell the rest. Although parting with your possessions may be easier for some than others, we will set up a mutual goal for your living space and work with you to achieve it.
Are you going to make me give away all of my belongings?
Although we will encourage you to let things go, we will first ask you a few basic questions: What value does the item provide? Does the item meet the intended purpose of the room? Could someone else benefit from having it more than you? And so on.
These questions will allow us to determine whether or not the item has a positive and functional place in your home. You will often find it is easier to let an item go when it has no inherent value or purpose.
Will you help me determine what I can sell instead of just discarding or donating it?
Absolutely. Our goal is to find out what benefits you more, cash in-hand or tax deduction. Although we are here to organize and create systems, you may also find that we can make you money in the process!
How long does the process take?
We believe time is your greatest commodity and we want to give as much back to you as possible. After all, what else in this world is truly yours except your time? We are professionals, and we are eager to get the job done with as little disruption as possible. We will provide a more detailed estimate at the consultation.
Do I have to be present or involved?
We encourage the client to be present at all times. You will find this helps for a faster turnaround.
Will you clean the rooms in my home once the organization is complete?
Unfortunately, I am not equipped to clean your home. However, I do have long-standing partnerships with several local cleaning services, and I am happy to make a recommendation.
